To protect these devices, meters installed in rural areas will be the responsibility of the respective district tax officer. The meters installed in Taluk Offices are the responsibility of the Deputy Tahsildar of the concerned Taluk and in the Block Development Office (BDO), the Deputy BDO of the concerned block is responsible for the meters. Local police in the concerned area will also be informed of the location of the meter for monitoring purposes.
