First, the application of wind speed and direction sensor
Wind speed and direction sensors are widely used in wind power generation. Wind speed sensor

The wind direction sensor is a kind of physical device which detects and senses the wind direction information by the rotation of the wind direction arrow, and transmits it to the coaxial code dial, and outputs the corresponding wind direction related value at the same time. Its main body uses the mechanical structure of the wind vane, when the wind blows to the tail wing of the wind vane, the arrow of the wind vane will point to the direction of the wind. In order to maintain the sensitivity to direction, different internal mechanisms are also used to identify the direction of the wind speed sensor.
2, ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor
The working principle of ultrasonic wave is to use ultrasonic time difference method to measure wind speed and direction. Because of the speed at which sound travels through the air, it is superimposed by the speed of the air flow upwards from the wind. If the ultrasonic wave travels in the same direction as the wind, its speed will increase; On the other hand, if the direction of ultrasound propagation is opposite to the wind direction, then its speed will slow down. Therefore, under fixed detection conditions, the speed of ultrasonic propagation in the air can correspond to the wind speed function. Accurate wind speed and direction can be obtained by calculation. As sound waves travel through the air, their speed is greatly affected by temperature; The wind speed sensor detects two opposite directions on two channels, so the temperature has a negligible effect on the speed of the sound waves.
As an indispensable part of wind power development, wind speed and direction sensor directly affects the reliability and power generation efficiency of the fan, and also directly relates to the profits, profitability and satisfaction of the wind power industry. At present, wind power plants are mostly located in the wild natural environment of harsh places, low temperature, large dust environment, the working temperature and flexural resistance of the system requirements are very harsh.
