In a paper published in the Journal of Chemical Engineering, scientists note that harmful gases such as nitrogen dioxide are widespread in industrial settings.
Inhaling nitrogen dioxide can cause severe respiratory diseases such as asthma and bronchitis, which seriously threatens the health of industrial workers. Therefore, constant monitoring is necessary to ensure a safe workplace.
To address this problem, many types of selective gas sensors have been developed using various organic and inorganic materials. Some of these sensors, such as gas chromatography sensors or electrochemical gas sensors, are very sophisticated but expensive and bulky. On the other hand, resistive and capacitive semiconductor-based sensors represent a promising alternative, and organic semiconductor (OSC)-based gas sensors provide a low-cost and flexible option. However, these gas sensors still face some performance challenges, including low sensitivity and poor stability in sensing applications.
We offer a wide range of high quality sensors for different environments to choose from!
